Pendila’s Story
I am fourteen years old, when I was twelve my friend introduced me into prostitution. Because our parents had died, I had no money to buy food for my brothers and sisters; this seemed the right thing to do.
I now have a baby of eighteen months, she is very beautiful and I love her very much. I have five brothers and sisters and they think my baby is very cute and love her too.
That is very good because I have am back at work, but have got this thing called AIDS. I don’t knowhow long I will live. My family will have to take care of my baby, and themselves.
Now Jabulani Trust is going to give us help so I will be able to stop work and my family will be taken care of.
